ECMO: Post-ECMO Discharge Orders

All post-ECMO patients need the following ordered prior to discharge home or back-transport to the referring hospital.

• Head CT without contrast

• Carotid Doppler color blood flow study (only if S/P V-A ECMO)

• Hearing exam (BAER)

• Appointment with the pediatric surgeon

• Appointment with the NICU Follow-Up clinic.
