Notes- Although medical students may write progress notes, it is not acceptable for housestaff to simply co-sign their notes. Residents must write their own daily progress notes.

Orders- All orders written by medical students must be co-signed prior to being presented to a nurse.

Procedures- NO unsupervised procedures are to be performed by medical students. The attending or fellow should be notified before a student does any procedure.
